On Page Optimization

TITLE
  1. Does position of keyword in title matter?
  2. What's the max length of titles? If a keyword is at the end of 100 char TITLE, will it help the page rank?
  3. How about the effectiveness of keyword in long title versus short title, containing only the keyword?
  4. If I place keyword at the end of title, does it rank lower than a page where title starts off with keyword?
  5. Keyword at the end of Title Tag


META Keyword/Description

  1. about if the keyword appears in title, keyword, description, but not on the page?
  2. What if keyword appears only in the META and anchor text to the page?
  3. What if keyword appears in the META and Alt Text?
  4. How about if keyword appears in the meta AND keyword appears on the page...does that boost page placement?


Anchor Text

  1. What's the effect of anchor text? e.g. the effect of pointing to a page submasodsfnh.
  2. Compare long link text with keywords embedded and a link text with only keywords.
  3. Effect of anchor text? How about a page that is completely unoptimized except it gets an link in from the index? Which would rank higher?
  4. Relevant VS non-relevant anchor text.

Page size / Word Count

  1. The amount of text
  2. The amount of keywords / page.
  3. Is huge HTML pages really bad?


Images

  1. Pages with pics and alt text versus page without alt text.
  2. How much boost do ALT text give?


CSS/JS

  1. Does Google read JS? CSS?
  2. Does Google actually read CSS? How would I be able to tell? Use bold in CSS and compare with a page that use bold on the page?


Keyword Position on the Page

  1. Also test some on-page factors, like text appearing at the top of the page VS text appearing at the bottom of the page. This should be very easy to test.


Keyword Position in a Sentence

  1. Does it really make a difference if I start off a paragraph with keywords? Try putting keywords in different positions of a sentence.
  2. I need to paragraphs of the same length, one with keyword embedded in the paragraph, and another with keyword that starts off the paragraph.
  3. Keyword at the beginning of a sentence
